In this immersive two-day online workshop, Unearthing the Past: Using Archives in Documentary Film, participants will explore the powerful role of archival materials in nonfiction storytelling. From historical footage and photographs, to personal letters, newspapers, oral histories, and information banks such as census data, archives offer a rich visual and narrative foundation for documentaries that seek to illuminate the past and connect it to the present.
